Century Bank and Samriddha Pahad Sign MoU
Century Bank and Samriddha Pahad have signed an MOU with an aim to uplift the financial status of people living in rural areas by financing in agriculture, livestock, entrepreneurship and business sectors through co-operatives situated in remote areas. Samriddha Pahad, an INGO, will introduce different cooperatives and entrepreneurs located within its reach to Century Bank and the bank will provide necessary finance and supervision to those cooperatives and entrepreneurship after the completion of formal process, says a statement from the Bank. The agreement was signed by Anuj Mani Timilsina, Acting CEO of Century Bank and Arun Rana, CEO of Samriddha Pahad. 
 
Laxmi Bank’s Branches in Dang and Salyan
Laxmi Bank has opened two new branches in Ghorahi of Dang and in Srinagar of Salyan. Dang and Salyan are a great fit to the Bank’s overall brand and business strategy of reaching out to the urban and emerging semi-urban markets, says a statement from the Bank. Both the branches also offer ATM service. The Bank now has 37 branches, 2 extension counters and 50 ATMs across the country. 
 
Everest Bank Celebrates 20th Anniversary
Everest Bank has celebrated its 20th anniversary by organizing various programs.  On its annual day, the Bank organized a blood donation programme at its head office premises where more than 100 individuals donated blood. At the same function, the bank donated computers to an NGO. The bank also handed over token of appreciations to its employees having completed 20 years of service.  The function was attended by Chairman of the Bank BK Shrestha, Directors, staff members and brand ambassador of the Bank.  
 
Siddhatha Bank Introduces Mobile ATM
Siddhartha Bank Limited has introduced a new service named Mobile ATM. The Mobile ATM was inaugurated by the Chairman of the Bank Chiranjilal Agrawal. The Bank plans to place the mobile ATM at busy locations inside Kathmandu valley like shopping malls, exhibitions, trade fairs, local festivals and tourist areas among others. The ATM will accept national and international debit and credit cards of various payment gateways like VISA, NPN, SCT, Master Card, Union Pay, VISA Electron and Maestro. With this ATM, the total number of Bank’s ATMs has now reached 57. 
 
Kumari Bank Opens 6 New Branches
Kumari Bank has opened six new branches in Musikot of Rukum, Kapurkot of Salyan, Kohalpur of Banke, Nijhgadh of Bara, Mahendranagar of Dhanusha and in Okhaldhunga. Among these locations, three branches are located at rural districts and remaining three are at semi-urban areas. With this, the Bank now has 34 branches, two extension counters and 40 ATMs throughout the country. 
 
Global IME Bank’s Branches in TIA and Nakkhu
Global IME Bank has opened two new branches in Tribhuvan international Airport (TIA) and in Nakkhu, Lalitpur. The TIA branch was inaugurated by Acting Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Gopal Prasad Kafle and the Nakkhu branch was inaugurated by Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank Manmohan Kumar Shrestha. The bank informed that it has opened the branch in TIA targeting the remittance inflow. The Airport branch also has a Remittance Support Centre to facilitate remittance. 
 
Civil Bank’s 41st Branch in Dhulikhel
Civil Bank has relocated its 41st branch from Banepa to Dhulikhel. According to the Bank, the branch will provide all the modern banking services to the residents of the area. “Communities and business people of Dhulikhel will benefit immensely from this new branch due to continued growth of tourism sector in the city,” said Kishore Maharjan, CEO of the Bank. He further added that the Bank has plans to establish more branches to expand its network within this fiscal year.
 
NMB Bank’s Extension Counters in Doti and Timmure
NMB Bank Ltd has opened two new extension counters in Doti of Silgadi and Timmure of Dhunche.  to extend its service to customers in these rural areas. “The Bank is committed to providing banking services through its 29 branches, 30 ATMs and other alternative delivery channels in different parts of the country”, said a statement from the Bank.
