Senior Meteorologist at the division Shanti Kandel said that the effects of the westerly winds that entered into Nepal from the western belt led to a change in the current weather pattern resulting in rainfall. The westerly winds are moving towards the eastern parts of the country, Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) reported. The change in the weather and rainfall are likely to continue until Saturday, accorded the division. The MFD has forecast the chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places of the country.</p>

According to the division, the country will remain mostly cloudy on Friday. Light to moderate rainfall is likely to continue at many places of the country, the division further said.</p>
<p>
The division has also forecast the possibility moderate snowfall at many places of the high mountainous region and chances of heavy snowfall at a few places in the mountainous region, RSS reported.</p>
<p>
Senior Meteorologist Kandel said that the sky over the Kathmandu valley will remain clear for some time on Friday afternoon but will again turn cloudy.</p>
