<p>Similarly, the PAC has directed the government and the CIAA to immediately suspend Tourism Secretary Krishna Prasad Devkota and punish former tourism secretary Shankar Prasad Adhikari.</p>

Lawmaker Pradeep Yadav, who was a member of the sub-committee which recommended action against Rai, clarified that Rai’s name has been removed as he was not involved in the scam and that the officials of the national flag carrier had provided false report about his involvement earlier.</p>
<p>PAC has directed the government and the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) to immediately suspend the key officials involved in the aircraft procurement deal including the Managing Director of NAC, Sugat Ratna Kansakar.</p>
<p>Similarly, the PAC has directed the government and the CIAA to immediately suspend Tourism Secretary Krishna Prasad Devkota and punish former tourism secretary Shankar Prasad Adhikari.</p>
<p>The sub-committee report had concluded that Rs 4.35 billion was embezzled in the wide-body aircraft procurement process.</p>
