December 12: Civil Bank Ltd has entered into an agreement with Surya Life Insurance Limited as its agent to sell life insurance policies. The agreement was signed by the bank’s Chief Executive Officer Govinda Gurung and Chief Executive Officer of Surya Life Insurance Limited, Shiva Nath Pandey.

Following the agreement, customers of the bank can now avail life insurance policies and hassle-free bancassurance services through any of the 70 branches of Civil Bank spread across the country in a convenient manner, said Govinda Gurung, CEO of the bank.

Prior to this, the bank said it had been offering life insurance and non-life insurance products to its customers through similar agreements.
