October 5: Hotel Fairfield by Marriott, Kathmandu has been organising Thai Food Festival at its Kava Restaurant in Thamel since September 30. Issuing a press statement, the hotel said that the ten-day food festival will last till October 9.

The food festival is being led by the guest chef Kroongtana Nimnu from Thailand. With over 19 years of experience in promoting Thai cuisine across the world, Chef Nimnu has worked with some reputed international hotels chains like Royal Angkor Silk Hotel – Cambodia, Le- Meridian, and Westin, according to the statement.

“He is bringing the authentic flavors and aromas of Thai cuisine to Nepal and will prepare countless scrumptious dishes like Tom Yum Goong (spicy shrimp soup) and Tom Kha Kai (coconut based chicken soup), Kao Na Phet (duck with rice), Som Tum (raw papaya salad), Pad Thai noodles, Gaeng Keow Wan Kai (green Thai chicken curry) and dessert option like sweet sticky rice, egg custard many more,” the statement added.

Priced at only Rs 2199 per person, the festival offers the entire food enthusiasts a chance to savour the taste of Thailand.

“This festival is our endeavor to introduce the magic of Thai cuisine to our guests. Through our warm hospitality and talent of culinary team and Chef Kroongtana Nimnu, we ensure to make this festival a memorable gourmet dining experience to our guests,” the statement added.
