<p>Secretaries from all the member states of BIMSTEC have already arrived in Kathmandu on Monday. A secretary-level meeting will be held at Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza ahead of the summit which will begin on Thursday. The 19th secretary-level Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) on Tuesday will set the agenda for the two-day ministerial-level summit.</p>
<p>According to government sources, head of states or governments of the member states will arrive in the capital by Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning.</p>
<p>Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed, Bhutanese Chief Justice Chhiring Wangchuk, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Myanmar’s President Win Myint, Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena and Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will attend the summit chaired by Prime Minister KP Oli.</p>
