August 13: HH Bajaj, the sole distributor of Bajaj motorcycles in Nepal, has announced the launch of Pulsar 150 TD (twin disc). The new model with twin disc comes at an introductory price of Rs 255,900, according to the company.  Bajaj Pulsar 150 TD features twin disc brakes, sharper design and new color schemes. It will be available in three dual tone colors – black-blue, black-red and chrome-black.

Apart from the dual disc brakes, the Pulsar 150 TD also has split seats, split grab rails, longer wheelbase and a wider and fat 37mm front fork and wide 120mm rear tyre, the company said in a statement. Pulsar 150 TD variant has also undergone significant improvements in noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) due to optimization of engine and chassis touch points.

“The new Pulsar 150 TD is targeted for modern youths who get comfort in performance and mileage of bike but are also looking for a sportier option. The Pulsar 150 TD is a no frill variant of the new Pulsar 150 which skimps out on the graphics, long wheel base, sporty split-seat, the rear disc brake and relatively low cost,” the statement said.

According to the company, the 4-stroke DTS-i engine remains the same overall in place of the same 149.5 cc, which gives out 14 PS at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 13.4 NM at 6,000 rpm. It has a top speed of 110 kmph and weighs 144 kg with fuel tank capacity of 15 liters. Another remarkable feature of the bike is the high ground clearance of 165 mm, which ensures smooth and comfortable ride on all terrains.

The Pulsar 150 TD comes equipped with five-gear system. Other new features included are wet multiplate clutch, air cooling system and five-map CDI ignition system.
