'content' => '<p>June 10: Nepal Telecom which is currently engaged in improving and updating its service has paced up the extension works of optical fiber. The state-owned telecom company had set a target targeted to complete 400 km of extension work within July this year.</p>
<p>The company informed that the network of optical fiber will connect the district headquarters situated in the mountains with its municipalities and cities.</p>
<p>So far, NTC has extended the optical fiber network broadband across 57 districts. Altogether 64 district headquarters will be connected with optical fiber network after achieving the current target.</p>
<p>Projects for extension of optical fiber network to 77 districts have also started, claimed the company.</p>
<p>NTC had in various phases accomplished to connect district headquarters of Palpa, Parbat, Baglung, Udayapur, Surkhet, Dhankuta, Terathum, Salyan, Myagdi, Gorkha, Ilam, Pachthar, Sindhupalchowk, Dhading, Nuwakot, Syanja, Gulmi, Argakhachi, Pyuthan, Rolpa, Lamjung and Rasuwa with its optical fiber network.</p>
<p>NTC believes that the extension of optical fiber will help the company to provide quality voice and data services to the users. </p>
