'content' => '<p>Photo Journalist (PJ) Club has announced the fifth edition of IME- Global Bank Photo Contest and Exhibition 2018. The competition was announced amid a function organized in capital on Wednesday, June 6.</p>
<p>The competition is open for all amateur and professional photographers and photo journalists all over Nepal. The registration of the photographs is open for 15 days from June 6 to 20 through official website of PJ Club www.pjclub.com.np.</p>
<p>The prospective participants should send their photographs in seven thematic categories. The categories are Daily Life, News, Nature and Wildlife, Culture and Tourism, Nepal Smiles, Sports and Photo Story.</p>
<p>Speaking at the program, President of PJ Club, Bikash Karki said that the photographs sent for the competition should follow the basic guideline set by the club. “Those photographs that are taken by foreigners and outside Nepal are not eligible for the competition, unless it falls under sports category where Nepali players' activities are captured.” Karki also pointed out that the news photo categories should have been captured between 2073 and 2074 BS.</p>
<p>The competition is expected to be participated by more than 1,500 photographers with entry of more than 13,000 photos. In the last edition of the competition that was held two years ago, 1,200 photographers had registered 11,000 images for the competition.</p>
<p>The photographs that are qualified for the competition are judged by a team of jury that comprises of senior photo journalists and photographers of Nepal and an internationally recognized photo journalist. The jury team is comprised of six members chaired by senior photographer of India Pablo Bartholomew. Other jury members are senior journalist and editor-in-chief of barhakari.com Prateek Pradhan, senior photo journalist and founding President of PJ Club Chandra Shekhar Karki, senior photographer Mani Lama, coordinator at KU School of Art’s Sujan Chitrakar and Agency France Presse (AFP) photo journalist and former president of PJ Club Prakash Mathema. </p>
<p>The jury would decide upon the best photographs among the seven thematic categories. The best photographers will then be awarded in a function.</p>
<p>The top three photographs in each of the seven categories will be awarded Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. Likewise, the 'IME Global Bank Photo of the Year' will be selected from among all the photos in the competition and will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 100,000. The best 160 photographs shall be put into public display from June 29 to July 15 at Nepal Art Council in Babarmahal, Kathmandu. </p>

At the program Chief Executive Officer of IME Group Chandra Dhakal pledged his commitment to support for such innovative work in Nepal. 'content' => '<p>Photo Journalist (PJ) Club has announced the fifth edition of IME- Global Bank Photo Contest and Exhibition 2018. The competition was announced amid a function organized in capital on Wednesday, June 6.</p>
<p>The competition is open for all amateur and professional photographers and photo journalists all over Nepal. The registration of the photographs is open for 15 days from June 6 to 20 through official website of PJ Club www.pjclub.com.np.</p>
<p>The prospective participants should send their photographs in seven thematic categories. The categories are Daily Life, News, Nature and Wildlife, Culture and Tourism, Nepal Smiles, Sports and Photo Story.</p>
<p>Speaking at the program, President of PJ Club, Bikash Karki said that the photographs sent for the competition should follow the basic guideline set by the club. “Those photographs that are taken by foreigners and outside Nepal are not eligible for the competition, unless it falls under sports category where Nepali players' activities are captured.” Karki also pointed out that the news photo categories should have been captured between 2073 and 2074 BS.</p>
<p>The competition is expected to be participated by more than 1,500 photographers with entry of more than 13,000 photos. In the last edition of the competition that was held two years ago, 1,200 photographers had registered 11,000 images for the competition.</p>
<p>The photographs that are qualified for the competition are judged by a team of jury that comprises of senior photo journalists and photographers of Nepal and an internationally recognized photo journalist. The jury team is comprised of six members chaired by senior photographer of India Pablo Bartholomew. Other jury members are senior journalist and editor-in-chief of barhakari.com Prateek Pradhan, senior photo journalist and founding President of PJ Club Chandra Shekhar Karki, senior photographer Mani Lama, coordinator at KU School of Art’s Sujan Chitrakar and Agency France Presse (AFP) photo journalist and former president of PJ Club Prakash Mathema. </p>
<p>The jury would decide upon the best photographs among the seven thematic categories. The best photographers will then be awarded in a function.</p>
<p>The top three photographs in each of the seven categories will be awarded Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. Likewise, the 'IME Global Bank Photo of the Year' will be selected from among all the photos in the competition and will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 100,000. The best 160 photographs shall be put into public display from June 29 to July 15 at Nepal Art Council in Babarmahal, Kathmandu. </p>
<p>The organisers said that program has received support from different corporate organizations and media houses of Nepal. At the program Chief Executive Officer of IME Group Chandra Dhakal pledged his commitment to support for such innovative work in Nepal. Likewise, IME’s Chief Executive Officer Suman Pokharel said that the photo competition has become very effective over the past years and has become a helpful means to recognize Nepal even in the international front.</p>
<p>Likewise, Arghakhachi Cement’s Marketing Executive Avinaya Jaiswal pledged his commitment for continued support for such grand event that supports the represent Nepal through photography.</p>

Photo Journalist (PJ) Club has announced the fifth edition of IME- Global Bank Photo Contest and Exhibition 2018. The competition was announced amid a function organized in capital on Wednesday, June 6.
The competition is open for all amateur and professional photographers and photo journalists all over Nepal. The registration of the photographs is open for 15 days from June 6 to 20 through official website of PJ Club www.pjclub.com.np.
The prospective participants should send their photographs in seven thematic categories. The categories are Daily Life, News, Nature and Wildlife, Culture and Tourism, Nepal Smiles, Sports and Photo Story.
Speaking at the program, President of PJ Club, Bikash Karki said that the photographs sent for the competition should follow the basic guideline set by the club. “Those photographs that are taken by foreigners and outside Nepal are not eligible for the competition, unless it falls under sports category where Nepali players' activities are captured.” Karki also pointed out that the news photo categories should have been captured between 2073 and 2074 BS.
The competition is expected to be participated by more than 1,500 photographers with entry of more than 13,000 photos. In the last edition of the competition that was held two years ago, 1,200 photographers had registered 11,000 images for the competition.
The photographs that are qualified for the competition are judged by a team of jury that comprises of senior photo journalists and photographers of Nepal and an internationally recognized photo journalist. The jury team is comprised of six members chaired by senior photographer of India Pablo Bartholomew. Other jury members are senior journalist and editor-in-chief of barhakari.com Prateek Pradhan, senior photo journalist and founding President of PJ Club Chandra Shekhar Karki, senior photographer Mani Lama, coordinator at KU School of Art’s Sujan Chitrakar and Agency France Presse (AFP) photo journalist and former president of PJ Club Prakash Mathema.
The jury would decide upon the best photographs among the seven thematic categories. The best photographers will then be awarded in a function.
The top three photographs in each of the seven categories will be awarded Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. Likewise, the 'IME Global Bank Photo of the Year' will be selected from among all the photos in the competition and will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 100,000. The best 160 photographs shall be put into public display from June 29 to July 15 at Nepal Art Council in Babarmahal, Kathmandu.
The organisers said that program has received support from different corporate organizations and media houses of Nepal. <p>The competition is open for all amateur and professional photographers and photo journalists all over Nepal. The registration of the photographs is open for 15 days from June 6 to 20 through official website of PJ Club www.pjclub.com.np.</p>
<p>The prospective participants should send their photographs in seven thematic categories. The categories are Daily Life, News, Nature and Wildlife, Culture and Tourism, Nepal Smiles, Sports and Photo Story.</p>

'content' => '<p>Photo Journalist (PJ) Club has announced the fifth edition of IME- Global Bank Photo Contest and Exhibition 2018. The competition was announced amid a function organized in capital on Wednesday, June 6.</p>
<p>The competition is open for all amateur and professional photographers and photo journalists all over Nepal. The registration of the photographs is open for 15 days from June 6 to 20 through official website of PJ Club www.pjclub.com.np.</p>
<p>The prospective participants should send their photographs in seven thematic categories. The categories are Daily Life, News, Nature and Wildlife, Culture and Tourism, Nepal Smiles, Sports and Photo Story.</p>
<p>Speaking at the program, President of PJ Club, Bikash Karki said that the photographs sent for the competition should follow the basic guideline set by the club. “Those photographs that are taken by foreigners and outside Nepal are not eligible for the competition, unless it falls under sports category where Nepali players' activities are captured.” Karki also pointed out that the news photo categories should have been captured between 2073 and 2074 BS.</p>
<p>The competition is expected to be participated by more than 1,500 photographers with entry of more than 13,000 photos. In the last edition of the competition that was held two years ago, 1,200 photographers had registered 11,000 images for the competition.</p>
<p>The photographs that are qualified for the competition are judged by a team of jury that comprises of senior photo journalists and photographers of Nepal and an internationally recognized photo journalist. The jury team is comprised of six members chaired by senior photographer of India Pablo Bartholomew. Other jury members are senior journalist and editor-in-chief of barhakari.com Prateek Pradhan, senior photo journalist and founding President of PJ Club Chandra Shekhar Karki, senior photographer Mani Lama, coordinator at KU School of Art’s Sujan Chitrakar and Agency France Presse (AFP) photo journalist and former president of PJ Club Prakash Mathema. </p>
<p>The jury would decide upon the best photographs among the seven thematic categories. The best photographers will then be awarded in a function.</p>
<p>The top three photographs in each of the seven categories will be awarded Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. Likewise, the 'IME Global Bank Photo of the Year' will be selected from among all the photos in the competition and will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 100,000. The best 160 photographs shall be put into public display from June 29 to July 15 at Nepal Art Council in Babarmahal, Kathmandu. </p>
<p>The organisers said that program has received support from different corporate organizations and media houses of Nepal. At the program Chief Executive Officer of IME Group Chandra Dhakal pledged his commitment to support for such innovative work in Nepal. Likewise, IME’s Chief Executive Officer Suman Pokharel said that the photo competition has become very effective over the past years and has become a helpful means to recognize Nepal even in the international front.</p>
<p>Likewise, Arghakhachi Cement’s Marketing Executive Avinaya Jaiswal pledged his commitment for continued support for such grand event that supports the represent Nepal through photography.</p>
<p>The event's title sponsors are IME and Global IME Bank, Mega Bank with co-partnership with Nepal Tourism Board. Different partners have supported thematic categories of the event, where Arghakhachi cement support for the category of news photo, IEMS for Daily life, Experience Nepal Culture and Tourism and Shikar Insurance for Nepal Smiles, Neptos for photo-story and Dish-Action Sports for sports category.
