<p>The National Planning Commission had set a budget ceiling of Rs 1.24 trillion for the government. However, the government announced the annual budget exceeding the limit by Rs 111 billion.</p>
<p>While presenting the financial details of the government in the parliament, Finance Minister Khatiwada announced that recurrent budget for the upcoming fiscal year has been set at Rs 845.45 billion out the total budget. The government will be spending Rs 314 billion as capital expenditure. The capital expenditure of the government in the current FY is Rs 239 billion.</p>
<p>Likewise, the government has allocated Rs 156 billion for financial management. This is 11.8 percent of the total budget.</p>
<p>The government plans to meet the budget expenditure by collecting Rs 1.03 billion revenue. The government will manage the remaining amount through grants and loans. Finance Minister Khatiwada said that the government will receive grants of Rs 58.81 billion as grant while it will receive Rs 253 billion as loan to meet the deficit of around Rs 300 billion.</p>
<p>Out of the total budget, the government has set aside Rs 1.06 billion for the central government while it has allocated Rs 113 billion for Province 7 and Rs 195 billion for the 753 local units across the country.</p>
