<p>Telecom companies believe that increase in the number of mobile phone users, decrease in data charge and fall in the prices of smartphones have contributed in the rise in number of smartphone users.</p>
<p>Ncell claimed that it registered 1.5 million new users between January to December in 2017. Axiata informed that it has slashed the rate of international trunk calls by 19.6 percent. The reduction in international calls is a result of customers using different applications like Whattsapp, Viber, Emo, Skype among others to keep in touch with their family members and friends living abroad, the report said.</p>
<p>According to the report, Ncell’s total income in 2017 was around Rs 58 billion. The report said that internet service contributed to 19 percent of the total income. Around 44 percent of Ncell users have subscribed for mobile data for internet service. Ncell said that the use of internet service has increased after introducing 4G service in February 2017.</p>
<p>Ncell has been providing 4G service in 21 cities across the country.</p>

<p>Ncell claimed that it registered 1.5 million new users between January to December in 2017. Axiata informed that it has slashed the rate of international trunk calls by 19.6 percent. The reduction in international calls is a result of customers using different applications like Whattsapp, Viber, Emo, Skype among others to keep in touch with their family members and friends living abroad, the report said.</p>
<p>According to the report, Ncell’s total income in 2017 was around Rs 58 billion. The report said that internet service contributed to 19 percent of the total income. March 9: A report prepared by Axiata, the company which owns majority shares of Ncell, has revealed that the customer base of the telecom company in Nepal has reached 106.4 million as of December 2017 and out of it 52 percent use smartphones.

<p>According to the report, smartphone users have increased by 10 percent while Ncell customers have also grown by 10.19 percent as compared to 2016.</p>
<p>Telecom companies believe that increase in the number of mobile phone users, decrease in data charge and fall in the prices of smartphones have contributed in the rise in number of smartphone users.</p>
<p>Ncell claimed that it registered 1.5 million new users between January to December in 2017. Axiata informed that it has slashed the rate of international trunk calls by 19.6 percent. The reduction in international calls is a result of customers using different applications like Whattsapp, Viber, Emo, Skype among others to keep in touch with their family members and friends living abroad, the report said.</p>
<p>According to the report, Ncell’s total income in 2017 was around Rs 58 billion. The report said that internet service contributed to 19 percent of the total income. Around 44 percent of Ncell users have subscribed for mobile data for internet service. Ncell said that the use of internet service has increased after introducing 4G service in February 2017.</p>
<p>Ncell has been providing 4G service in 21 cities across the country.</p>
