Investment amounting to billions of rupees in the cement industries is under risk because of the shortage of clinker in the country,” the statement reads, adding that the shortage of clinker will result in the decline of production. As a result, there will be shortage of cement in the Nepali market.</p>
<p>According to the association, of the total clinker import from India, 20 percent comes to Nepal via Birgunj customs point. The association also claims that it has requested all the member industries to work to control the price hike of cement in the market.</p>
