A total of 1061.64 kilometres of road was damaged by the devastating quakes about two and a half years ago. Out of the total damaged road, only 7-km road section of Bhaktapur to Telkot is likely to be repaired soon.</p>
<p>It is one of the 17 road sections being rebuilt with the loan assistance from Asian Development Bank. The bank has provided loan to rebuild a total of 307 kilometres of road. </p>
<p>According to the Earthquake Emergency Assistance Project (EEAP) under the Department of Local Infrastructure and Development of Agricultural Roads (DOLIDAR), the repair works of Bhaktapur-Telkot road section will be complete within a month. After the completion of the road section, the project will carry out the repair of the remaining 31 road sections which stretches over 753.89 kilometres.</p>
<p>The project came into existence after the ADB approved Rs 4 billion loan about a year ago to rebuild roads and bridges destroyed by the earthquakes. </p>
