<p>In its press statement, the bank said the funds raised from this event will go towards the bank’s ‘Seeing is Believing’ initiative through which eye care services are being continued. The bank said it had previously provided financial support of USD one million to Biratnagar Eye Hospital for project expansion and extended an additional financial support of USD one million to Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology for funding their major expansion project covering Bhaktapur and Nuwakot districts, both under the bank’s ‘Seeing is Believing’ initiative.</p>
<p>Saturday’s event started from the bank’s head office at Naya Baneshwar and ended at the branch office in Lazimpat and was attended by about 400 people from bank’s staff, clients, partner organizations including Maiti Nepal and various other stakeholders.</p>
<p>Tara Management Pvt. Ltd. was the main sponsor of the walkathon event while National Insurance Company Ltd. and Viswakarma Cement were its co-sponsors. </p>
