<p>The company has signed an agreement with districts like Rukum, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Parbat and Dhankuta and has been processing, packaging and distributing the seeds.</p>
<p>Managind Director Bil Bahadur Adhikari informed that the company is selling 45 different types of seeds including the seeds of local cauliflower, cabbage, carrot, radish and spinach.</p>
<p>“The company aims to train the farmers and export local products in the future,” Adhikari told New Business Age.</p>
<p>The company is processing 100 kilograms of seeds in a day and is managing the market with the supply of packaged seeds weighing 10 grams to 500 grams. Adhikari added that the demand of seeds in Nepal is high and the company is finding it hard to fulfill it.</p>
<p>The company has employed 12 people and has an aim of selling off-seasonal vegetables and fruits in the future. According to Seed Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal (SEAN), though there is a demand of 2,500 metric tons of seeds in Nepal only 900 metric tons of seeds are produced in the country.</p>

The Chitwan Agriseed Company Pvt Ltd has been established jointly by 11 entrepreneurs of Chitwan, Makwanpur, Dhankuta and Udayapur districts.</span></p>
<p>“The company has been operated with an aim of increasing local production and making Nepal self-reliant on seeds,” said Shankar Kumar Karki, chairman of the company. He said that farmers will be relieved from the stress of travelling to multiple places for seeds as the company is selling different kinds of processed seeds at their doorsteps in various districts.</p>
<p>The company has signed an agreement with districts like Rukum, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Parbat and Dhankuta and has been processing, packaging and distributing the seeds.</p>
<p>Managind Director Bil Bahadur Adhikari informed that the company is selling 45 different types of seeds including the seeds of local cauliflower, cabbage, carrot, radish and spinach.</p>
<p>“The company aims to train the farmers and export local products in the future,” Adhikari told New Business Age.</p>
<p>The company is processing 100 kilograms of seeds in a day and is managing the market with the supply of packaged seeds weighing 10 grams to 500 grams. Adhikari added that the demand of seeds in Nepal is high and the company is finding it hard to fulfill it.</p>
<p>The company has employed 12 people and has an aim of selling off-seasonal vegetables and fruits in the future. According to Seed Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal (SEAN), though there is a demand of 2,500 metric tons of seeds in Nepal only 900 metric tons of seeds are produced in the country.</p>
