November 7: Wai Wai City, the country’s first iconic noodle bar, has opened its first outlet at Labim Mall, Pulchowk, Lalitpur, Nepal.

Issuing a press statement, the company said that Wai Wai City - a ready to eat noodle bar – gives customers their favourite noodles an appetizing make-over in various flavours to choose from.

“This brings the brand closer to the consumer, giving them multiple options along with making the place a preferred nook for friends and family to catch up and enjoy their favourite snack,” reads the statement.

Nirvana Chaudhary, managing director of Chaudhary Group, inaugurated the outlet of Wai Wai City on Monday, November 6.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Chaudhary said, "With Wai Wai City, we aim to extend the legacy of Wai Wai noodles to a larger audience with a unique and refreshing experience, and a one of a kind noodle bar concept. For us, this is the beginning of an exciting journey with 14 operational outlets in India and Nepal in these last few months and many more to come in other markets as well." 

The menu offers an array of noodle dishes cooked in interesting styles influenced by oriental flavours, giving noodle lovers a host of new ways to consume this cult snack, reads the statement.

The live kitchen has four types of noodles such as classic, chopsuey, roasted and pan fried, seven sauces, which are, soy garlic, kung pao, masala fusion,hot garlic, pepper soya, spicy teriyaki, schezwan chilli, eighteen vegetables, ten toppings and five add-ons to choose from.

Wai Wai City said it will be spread across the following formats - food courts, self-standing kiosks, standalone outlets, highway formats and an integrated format.

These formats will be developed across malls, information technology (IT) parks, offices, airports, hospitals, colleges, high streets, etc. The company claimed that it will offer noodles in a host of flavours at pocket-friendly prices. The noodle bars are already operational in Delhi NCR with two outlets, Siliguri, Chandigarh,Hyderabad, Velachery, Kolkata, Chennai, Vadodara, Pune, Surat in a stand-alone and kiosk format with an open live kitchenand has now branched out to Lalitpur in Nepal, with Bhuvaneshwar, Agra, Pondicherry, Lucknow, Dehradun, Mumbai in India and is in the pipeline in Itahari, Kathmandu, Bharatpur, Dharan, Pokhara, Birtamod in Nepal, reads the statement.
