AnchorNovember 5: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri inaugurated the newly constructed school building and compound wall of Shree Tapsi Baba Secondary School in Dhanusha district on November 3.

Issuing a press statement, the Indian Embassy said that the new building constructed with India’s grant assistance of NRs 2.65 crores would facilitate better learning environment to approximately 1,000 students of the school that was established in 1979 as a lower secondary school and was subsequently upgraded to secondary level in 1995.

The school is providing free education to indigenous students from the tribal areas of Dhanusha and adjoining districts, reads the press statement.

Till date, seven Government of India (GOI)-aided projects worth NRs 16.66 crores have been completed in Dhanusha district, according to the Indian Embassy. These projects include school, library, museum buildings, bridges and roads.

Eleven more projects including school buildings, roads and bridges etc are being constructed with GOI assistance of NRs 31.13 crores, the embassy informed. Apart from this, 29 ambulances and 5 buses have been donated to various organisations in Dhanusha district.
