NT’s Spokesperson Pratibha Baidhya informed that the communication station set up at Badhu on October 17 has been probiding telecommunication services in places like Pandav Gufa, Swamikartik and some areas of Budhinanda Municipality of Bajura as well as Mugu district’s Sukhadhik, Kotdanda, Hyaglu and eastern parts of Kalikot district. According to Baidhya, around 4,000 households of this region have benefitted from this service.</p>
<p> Likewise, the station set up at Bichha has benefitted 3,000 households of Bichha, Rugin, Madana and Maila VDCs.</p>
<p>NT informed that it had hired tractors and porters to transport the equipment to Badhu and Bichha from Bajura’s headquarters, Martadi. It takes at least two days to reach Badhu from the district headquarters and four days to reach Bichha. NT further informed that the BTS towers at the two places are being operated by using solar and VSAT technologies. NT said it has also distributed Sim cards free of cost at those areas.</p>
