'content' => '<p>October 12: Buddha Air has completed 20 years of service in the aviation sector of Nepal. The airlines company has started its operation in 1997 from mountain flights using American-made Beechcraft 1900 D. The company which started its service from one aircraft now has two Beechcrafts and seven ATRs. The company is planning to import two more ATRs between January and June next year, informed Rupesh Joshi, marketing and sales director of Buddha Air.</p>
<p>Buddha Air, which operates flights to major cities of the country, accounts for 63 percent of the total domestic flights of the country.</p>
<p>The company is praised for one of the best hangars in South Asia.</p>
<p>The company is also planning for international flights after Pokhara International Airport comes into operation and is in touch with Airbus about the possibility of expanding its fleet, reads a press statement issued by the company. </p>
<p>Buddha Air’s Managing Director Birendra Bahadur Basnet informed that the airlines is planning to operate three airbuses after the opening of Pokhara International Airport in August 2021. </p>
