<p>Dharan’s Thaha Municipality Chief Labeshwar Bista said that the responsibility of operating the tower will be handed to hotel and tourism entrepreneur. The view tower, which was under the tourism ministry for a long time, was handed over to the Makwanpur District Development Committee six years ago. The current municipal chief Bista took over the responsibility of the tower three years ago. The view tower had remained closed after sustaining damages during the April 25, 2015 earthquake. Bista informed that the tower has already been renovated and is currently under the jurisdiction of the municipality.</p>
<p>The Everest View Tower in Daman of Makwanpur district is 75 kilometers away from Kathmandu and 55 kilometers from Hetauda.</p>
