September 12: Outreach Nepal won 10 awards during the Nepal Ice 9th Crity Awards organized by Advertising Association of Nepal (AAN) on September 11.

A total of 24 awards were up for grabs during the ceremony held at Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza. Altogether 27 advertising agencies had participated in the awards ceremony, informed the organizers.

Business Advantage won five awards followed by Max L’agence and Digitalin, both receiving received three awards each.

Avani, ANS Creations, Mars Advertising and Research as well as Makeways won two awards each.

Munz Ad, Welcome Advertising, Creo Communications, V-Chitra, Prisma Advertising, Max Media and Ad Media won one awards each.

Past president of AAN Madhav Raj Timilsina senior advertising professional Nabin Lal Joshi was awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Awards.

A 53-member jury from different fields under the coordination of Prof Dr Bijay KC had selected the winners, AAN said in a statement.

The president of AAN, Santosh Shrestha, on behalf of AAN handed over a cheque of Rs 100,000 to Bhawani Rana, the chairperson of FNCCI, for the Flood Victim Relief Fund during the occasion.

The program was marked by the presence of Raymond So, the president of Asian Federation of Advertising Association and Bharat Avlani, chief Knowledge officer from AFAA, the statement further said.

The four-hour event was telecast live by almost all major satellite TV channels of Nepal.

The event was sponsored by Nepal Ice, CG Cement, Civil Homes, Himalaya TV, The Himalayan Times, Nepal Telecom, Muktinath Development Bank and Nepal Tourism Board.

AAN said that the event was attended by more than 700 people from corporate houses, advertising agencies, government officials, media personalities along with foreign delegates.

Crity Award was established in 2060 BS to honor and motivate the creativity in advertising industry of Nepal.
