September 11: King’s College, a Kathmandu-based business school, has announced to host the 16th International Entrepreneurship Forum (IEF) Conference -2017 at Hotel Radisson, Kathmandu from September 14-16. The college said it has joined hands with Essex Business School (EBS), London to organize the three-day conference with the theme “Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Economic Development”. 
The annual IEF conference which began in 2001 from Naples, Italy, has already been organized in countries including, China, India, South Africa, Colombia, Turkey, Bahrain, Italy, Lithuania and Latvia and is being held in Nepal for the first time, reads a press statement issued by the college.
According to the college, the three-day conference will include plenary and panel sessions, presentations and discussions of academic research, policy driven and reflective practitioner-oriented papers, empathy and networking interlude, social interaction and awards for best papers.
“Apart from presentations, deliberations, and discussions, the conference will also feature 13 stalls where the 10 best entrepreneurial products under the MEDEP will be showcased; while five videos relating to entrepreneurial journey of aspiring and successful entrepreneurs and enterprises will also be screened,” the statement said.  
The college informed that a total of 600 Nepali and foreign participants including academicians, students, entrepreneurs, experts, researchers and practitioners from corporate houses, multilateral and bilateral partners from over 20 countries are set to attend the conference. 
“Because of the impression and impact that we made last year by hosting International Conference on Social Entrepreneurship, we have been chosen to host the IEF Conference,” says King’s College Principal, Narottam Aryal, adding, “We believe this opportunity in itself is a big reward to King’s College for its unflinching efforts towards the path of development and promotion of entrepreneurship in Nepal.”
Delegates from Nepal will have to pay Rs 6,650 to participate in the event while delegates from all low-income countries will be charged Rs 13,400 as registration fee. Similarly, registration charge for delegates from the UK has been set at Rs 26,800 and the charge for full time students both Nepali and foreigner has been fixed at Rs 5,300.
