September 10: Everest Bank Limited (EBL) conducted an interaction program with Travel and Tour Operators for smooth remittance facility from India to Nepal.

The interaction was held on September 8 in the presence of Madhu Sudan Acharya, president of Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agent (NATTA) and the CEO of the bank Someshwar Seth, according to a statement issued by the bank.

The bank said it is receiving remittance from India through its joint venture partner Punjab National Bank’s INDO-Nepal Remittance. Under this facility, customer can instantly remit money from Punjab National Bank (PNB) India to EBL through any branch of PNB or Mobile/Internet Banking Facility of PNB and through business correspondent locations of PNB.

The main agenda of the interaction was to facilitate the people who wish to remit their fund from India to Nepal easily and safely. The bank said they were facing trouble to remit the fund earlier.

Currently, the bank is rendering professionalized and efficient banking services through its widest domestic network of 64 branches, 2 extension counters, 28 revenue collection counters, 91 ATMs and around 5000 payout agents/business correspondents across the country, according to the statement.
