<p>Indian Railways, on the other hand, says that it took such measure since lots of goods have already piled up in Raxaul causing congestion. </p>
<p>“The local businessmen in and around Birgunj depend on the raw materials imported from this customs point. Our production has been hampered after the Indian Railways denied racks for us,” said Rajpal.</p>
<p>The import of daily essentials has also been affected, according to the importers.</p>
<p>Recently, the Indian Railways had imposed fines up to six times the normal amount for unloading goods in a bid to ease the congestion. But since July 8, it also stopped providing racks to the Nepali businessmen.</p>
<p>According to Rajpal, the Indian Railways has decided not to provide racks till July 22 but the date may be extended for a few days.</p>
