March 3: Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) is organizing Nepal International Trade Fair 2073. In a press conference organized on March 3, the federation informed that the fair will kick off from March 16 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. The co-organisers of the fair are Nepal Handicraft Association, Jadibuti Association of Nepal and Himali Project.

According to Pashupati Murarka, President of FNCCI, the fair is being organized with a support of Trade and Exports Promotion Centre. On the occasion, the organiser informed that all 340 stalls including domestic and foreign have been booked for the fair. Countries including China, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Thailand will be participating in the fair. The organizer expects that viewers from Japan, Korea and Thailand will be visiting the fair. As per the organizer, China, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Thailand have booked 85, 10, 20, 50 and two stalls respectively for the fair.

"Promotion and sales of domestic and foreign products and live interactions between the traders will be undertaken under the single roof in the fair. It will be a suitable platform for trial of new ideas, products and technologies," said FNCCI President Mukarka.

As per the organiser, there will be exchange of skill and technologies between Nepali and foreign exhibitors, possibility of sole and joint investment and identification of investment sector in the fair. The fair will have handicrafts, tourism, information technology, agricultural products, energy, construction, education, medicines and iron and steel stalls.

Similarly, the fair will also include various stalls of readymade dresses, leather products, new technology and equipments, food items, furniture, fashion wear, home decor and service sectors. Likewise, the fair will showcase Nepali herbal products in 35 stalls. Moreover, 70 stalls will exhibit agricultural products of Himali Project.

Mercantile Communication, Ganesh Air Cargo, Heritage Carpet, Premiere Insurance are IT partner, official cargo, carpet sponsor and insurance partner of the fair respectively. Moreover, Argakhanchi Cement and International Labor Oranisation (ILO) have supported the fair as well. The organiser expects more than 200,000 visitors in the fair.
