February 28: Chinese handset major Huawei Consumer Business Group has unveiled new smartphones in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) being organised at Barcelona, Spain. The company on February 26 showcased Huawei P10 and P10+ in the world's largest mobile technology exhibition. Issuing a press statement the company said that the new smartphones are innovative and stylish handsets co-engineered with the lens maker Leica. As per the company, the cameras of the phones come with studio-like effects to enhance portrait photography. The Chinese smartphone brand introduced its exclusive devices in the latest on-trend colors, specially optimised for their unique hyper diamond-cut finish through a partnership with Pantone Color Institute. 

According to the company, it has featured a Leica front camera to compliment dual rear cameras in its newly launched handsets. The company informed that the users can produce beautiful photography in any environment through re-lighting and 3D facial detection.

The statement reads that the Huawei P10 comes with a 5.1 inches full HD display, while the Huawei P10+ features a 5.5 inches QHD display. The new handsets are powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 960 processor. Among the new handsets, P10 has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM, while P10+ has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM with expandable memory. P10 has a 3,200 mAh battery, while P10+ houses a 3,750 mAh battery. Both phones run on Huawei’s EMUI 5.1 interface which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The smartphones are equipped with fingerprint sensors that are placed on the front of the device in the form of the capacitive button. The company says that the sensors also double up as the primary means of navigation on the devices.

As per the company, both handsets are available in Greenery and Dazzling Blue, co-designed with Pantone Color Institute. The smartphones are available in ceramic white, dazzling gold with hyper diamond-cut finish and prestige gold, graphite black, rose gold and mystic silver. The company will introduce smartphones in Europe and China from March followed shortly after Asia, Latin America, South Africa and Russia in April.
