The construction of the project was concluded last month. "With the addition, 9-10 megawatt power has been added to national transmission line," said Puspa Jyoti Dhungana, Project Head of the HEP. The project with a capacity of 14.9 MW will generate comparatively low electricity during winter, informed Panchthar Power Company, promoter of the HEP. The project is financed by 11 BFIs including Machhapchchhre Bank, Nepal Investment Bank with a lead of Sanima Bank.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">"The total cost of the HEP was estimated Rs 2.16 billion, however, extended construction period resulted in increased cost," said Dhungana. Both private and institutional investors have invested in the project. The project targets to sale 81million units of electricity annually. </p>
