January 10: As per the NRB Dhangadi, various bank and financial institutions (BFIs) operating in nine districts of Far-Western Region have invested Rs 60.44 billion loan by June/July of the last  FY.

"Deposit of Rs 37.54 billion has been collected during the period," said Vishrut Thapa, Director of NRB Danghadi. According to Thapa, 84 BFIs established in Kailali invested the highest amount of Rs 43.70 billion. Meanwhile 12 BFIs in Doti have invested the least amount of Rs 8.2 million.

Similarly, Thapa said that 44 BFIs in Kanchanpur invested Rs 12.26 billion and 16 BFIs in Dadeldhura invested Rs 1.40 billion. Likewises nine BFIs in Baitadi invested Rs 720 million, 17 BFIs in Acham invested 450 million and eight BFIs in Darchula invested Rs 590 million. Moreover, six BFIs in Bajura invested Rs 240 million and seven BFIs in Bajhang invested Rs 260 million loan.

Meanwhile, the deposit collected by the BFIs of Kailali has been Rs18.9 billion during the period. Similarly, deposit collection from Kanchanpur was Rs 9.10 billion, Rs 2.29 billion from Dadeldhura and Rs 1.16 billion from Doti. Likewise, Rs 1.63 billion from Baitadi, Rs 780 million from Acham, Rs 1.25 billion from Darchula and Rs 670 million deposit were collected from Bajura. Also, 960 million deposit from Bajhang was also collected resulting a total of Rs 37.54 billion deposit collection, according to the statistics of NRB Dhanghadi.

Thapa informed that there are 203 BFIs in the Province Number7. According to him, Kailali with the 84 BFIs has the highest number of BFIs whereas Bajura with only six BFIs has the least BFIs. The nine districts of Far Western region has 112 'A' listed, 32 'B' listed, 1 'C' listed and 86 'D' listed BFIs.
