According to the Department of Electricity Development (DOED), 100 MW electricity will be generated from 15 small and medium sized hydropower projects in the district in the next seven years. Earlier, 75MW electricity generated from 5 hydropower projects had already been connected to the national transmission grid. Besides Upper Tamakoshi Hydro Power Project, seven hydle projects are under construction in Dolakha which will generate 565MW of electricity. </p>
