<p>The group took out a protest rally in the capital tying black bands around the forehead, accusing the government of not taking any serious measures to provide relief to the people hit hard by the consequences of India's blockade against the country.</p>
<p>Daily lives of the people have been pushed into difficulties due to the blockade, Madhes agitation and black market flourished with the obstructions in supplies system along the border areas, Group Chairperson Sabitri Thapa said.<br />
Consumers' Forum Chair Prem Lal Maharjan said the people had great expectation from the incumbent government but it failed to even meet their basic needs. He called on the government to seek a solution to the ongoing Madhes agitation through talks with the agitating parties and take effective measures to uplift the border blockade.<br />
