Price of Gold Surges, Silver Declines in Domestic Market

KATHMANDU, August 8

The price of gold surged by Rs 300 per tola (11.66 grams) in the domestic market of Nepal on Thursday (August 8).

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of fine gold rose to Rs 146,600 per tola on Thursday from Rs 146,300 per tola a day ago and that of worked gold to Rs 145,900 from Rs 145,600 per tola.

In contrast, silver became cheaper by Rs 20 per tola to be traded at Rs 1,690 per tola.
