<p><span style="font-size:20px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">Earlier, the government had sacked Bhakta Bahadur Pun and Kapil Acharya from the board of the authority. </span></span><span style="font-size:20px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">According to the ministry, Karki and Gurung were appointed as board members in accordance with Nepal Electricity Authority Act, 2041. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:20px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">Karki was appointed as an expert in the electricity sector from the non-governmental sector, while Gurung was selected from among the electricity consumers.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:20px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">In line with the decision of the Energy Minister, Karki and Gurung have been appointed as board members for a term of four years on August 2. </span></span></p>
