SEBON Committed to Protecting Investors' Interests

KATHMANDU, August 2: The Executive Director of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), Nabaraj Adhikari, emphasized the crucial role of the stock market in supporting the country's economic growth. He reiterated SEBON's commitment to protecting the interests of investors.

Speaking at the 12th anniversary of NIMB Ace Capital Limited on Thursday, Adhikari highlighted SEBON's efforts to address the concerns of financial management companies, as well as its role in regulating and managing securities and related activities.

Adhikari also acknowledged the recent monetary policy introduced by the central bank, which aims to invigorate the stock market. He expressed appreciation for the removal of the Rs 200 million cap on institutional share traders.

Former Chief Secretary Bimal Koirala, who also spoke at the event, stressed the need for a secure and reliable stock trading system. -- RSS
