The price of gold surged by Rs 1,600 per tola in the domestic market on Thursday.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, fine gold, which was traded at Rs 147,800 per tola on Wednesday, is being traded at Rs 149,400 per tola on Thursday.
Similarly, the price of worked gold has surged to Rs 148,700 per tola from Rs 147,100 on Wednesday.
The price of silver also went up in the domestic market by Rs 20 per tola on Thursday. Silver is currently being traded at Rs 1,800 per tola, up from Rs 1,780 per tola the previous day.
