Secured Transactions Bill in House Committee for Clause-Wise Discussion

KATHMANDU, July 31: The House of Representatives has sent the Secured Transactions (First Amendment) Bill, 2081 to the relevant committee for clause-wise discussion.

The meeting of the lower house on Tuesday sent the bill, which originated in the upper house, to the committee.

The proposal by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel to send the bill to the relevant committee for clause-wise discussion was unanimously approved by the house.

The meeting also endorsed a proposal from Speaker Devaraj Ghimire to change the names of the members of the Parliamentary Investigation Special Committee, Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of the Directive Principles, Policies and Obligations of the state Committee and various other thematic committees. 

The next meeting of the House of Representatives has been scheduled for  August 4. -- RSS
