Torrential Downpour Likely in Next Two Days

KATHMANDU, July 30: There is a possibility of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in various parts of the country over the next two days, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

The division has advised everyone to remain alert, especially during the night, when extremely heavy rainfall is expected. Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari mentioned that while rainfall is likely at night, incessant rainfall is not expected.

Adhikari further stated that heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is expected in a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in one or two places in the remaining provinces.

Cloudy weather is predicted for Tuesday afternoon across the country, with light to moderate rain and thunder and lightning in some areas of all provinces.

On Tuesday night, heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is likely in a few places in Bagmati, Madhes, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in one or two places in the remaining provinces.

On Wednesday, the weather throughout the country will remain cloudy. Light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is expected in a few places in Madhes Province and some areas in the remaining provinces in the afternoon.

Similarly, light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is predicted in a few places in Madhes, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with heavy rainfall expected in one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces during Wednesday night. -- RSS
