KATHMANDU, July 27: Relatives of 17 people who died in Saurya Airlines plane crash last Wednesday have received bodies after postmortem.
Out of 18 people who died in the crash, 17 bodies were handed over to their relatives as of Saturday evening, said spokesperson for the Nepal Police, Deputy Inspector General Dan Bahadur Karki.
He added that a body of the foreign national would be sent back following the due process. The relatives of the deceased received the bodies on Friday and Saturday after postmortem at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.
Of the 19 passenger including crew members, 18 died when the plane of Saurya Airlines met with the accident on the premises of the Tribhuvan International Airport on July 24.
Captain Manish Ratna Shakya was the sole survivor of the crash. -- RSS
