Lila Devi Gadtaula appointed as Nepal's First Woman Chief Secretary

KATHMANDU:  Lila Devi Gadtaula has been officially appointed as the chief secretary of the Government of Nepal. The cabinet meeting held on Thursday appointed Gadtaula, currently the acting chief secretary, to the position of chief secretary.

With this appointment, Gadtaula has become the first woman chief secretary of the country. She, however, will retire on August 31, 2024, due to age limit.
