July 16: Citizens Bank International Limited has conducted financial literacy programs through its branch offices in all seven provinces across Nepal.
In a press statement issued on Monday, the bank announced that it conducted these programs through 134 branch offices in the current fiscal year.
Approximately 10,000 people benefited from the programs, with participation from 21 branches in Koshi Province, 6 in Madhesh Province, 47 in Bagmati Province, 13 in Gandaki Province, 30 in Lumbini Province, 9 in Karnali Province, and 8 in Sudurpashchim Province.
The press release highlighted that the program covered topics such as the state of financial literacy and the increasing crimes and risks associated with the development of digital banking. The bank believes that these programs will strengthen the banking system and enhance financial knowledge among participants.
Additionally, Citizens Bank reported completing various initiatives under its corporate social responsibility commitments.
The bank provides modern banking services to approximately 1.8 million customers through its 197 branches, 160 ATMs, 3 extension counters, and 98 branchless banking units spread across 60 districts nationwide.
