NEPSE Slumps by 17.18 Points to Close at 2240.41

July 15: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index fell by 17.18 points, or 0.76%, closing at 2240.41 on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

During today's trading session, 322 scrips were traded through 102,372 transactions on NEPSE. A total of 25,079,079 shares were exchanged, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 8.73 billion.

Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited (UPPER) led in turnover with total transactions amounting to Rs 37 crores. Civil Bank Debenture 2088 (CBLD88) and Mandu Hydropower Limited (MANDU) each saw a 10% gain, hitting the positive circuit for the day.

Conversely, Janaki Finance Limited (JFL) experienced the highest loss of 10%, closing at Rs 742 per share.

In terms of sectoral performance, all sectors closed in the negative territory except for the Hydropower Index, Investment Index, Manufacturing and Processing Index, and Mutual Fund.

The Investment Index recorded the highest gain of 1.70%, while the Development Bank Index posted the maximum loss of 1.89%.
