July 14: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology reports that light to moderate rainfall is taking place in the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces due to the monsoon winds affecting the country.

In the next 24 hours, heavy rain is forecasted for some areas within the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

According to the weather bulletin issued this morning, the afternoon will see partly to mostly cloudy skies nationwide, with light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning expected in the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in some areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Heavy rainfall is particularly expected in one or two places in the Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy, with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms likely in the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Additionally, heavy rain is anticipated in one or two locations within the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki regions.

The Department advises residents in these areas to be prepared for potential heavy rainfall and associated weather conditions. (RSS)
