Nepal's IT Sector Holds Immense Potential for Economic Development, Says FNCCI President

July 13: Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), emphasized the significant potential of the information technology (IT) sector in driving Nepal's economic growth.

Speaking at the international ICT discussion titled "Positioning Nepal as a Global IT Hub", Dhakal highlighted the rapid progress Nepal has made in the IT sector in recent years.

Dhakal stated that Nepal should capitalize on this growth to enhance industrial development and boost service exports. He pointed out that the country's youths are increasingly engaging in IT courses and launching IT-driven enterprises.

According to Dhakal, there are currently around 500 IT companies in Nepal, and this number could grow further if the government adopts IT-friendly policies and creates a conducive environment for investment. (RSS)
