NEPSE Index Rises by 15.79 Points to Close at 2152.14

July 9: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw an increase of 15.79 points today, marking a 0.73% rise and closing at 2,152.14 points. This gain follows yesterday's loss of 4.62 points.

During today’s trading session, 316 stocks were traded through across 66,716 transactions on the NEPSE. A total of 11,661,208 units of shares were exchanged, resulting into a total turnover of Rs 5.53 billion.

NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) led the market in turnover, achieving Rs. 197.7 million and closing at Rs. 735 per share. Ganapati Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GMFBS) and Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ANLB) both hit the positive circuit, surging by 10% each.

On the downside, Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme - 2 (SIGS2) experienced the highest loss, dropping 5.47%.

In sector performance, four sector indices ended the day in negative territory. The "Manufacturing and Processing Index" recorded the highest sectoral loss of 0.54%, while the "Microfinance Index" saw the highest gain, increasing by 3.06%.
