June 26: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) continued its downward trend, dropping by 11.60 points (0.56%) to close at 2060.16 on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.
Today's trading session saw 305 scrips traded through 54,793 transactions. A total of 8,727,164 units of shares were exchanged, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 4.5 billion.
Nepal Finance Limited (NFS) led in turnover, with transactions totaling Rs 16 crores and a market price of Rs 1033 per share. NFS also recorded the highest gain of the day at 9.87%. In contrast, Sadhana Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (SDLBSL) experienced the biggest loss, declining by 6.38% to close at Rs 1215 per share.
Regarding sector indices, all sectors closed in negative territory except for the Finance Index, Mutual Fund, and Trading Index. The Finance Index reported the highest gain of 0.45%, while the Development Bank Index suffered the highest loss of 1.03%.
