June 25: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index experienced a modest increase of 0.27% , rising by 5.60 points to close at 2,071.77 on the third trading day of the week on Tuesday.
During today’s trading session, 319 scrips were traded through 60,858 transactions. A total of 9,435,454 shares changed their hands, resulting into a turnover of Rs 4.18 billion.
RSDC Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (RSDC) led the market in terms of turnover, achieving Rs. 14.83 Crores and closing at Rs. 696 per share. Global IME Bank Debenture, 2084/85 (GBILD84/85), and Makar Jitumaya Suri Hydropower Limited (MAKAR) both hit a positive circuit, each surging by 10%.
In contrast, Sadhana Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SDLBSL) faced a significant loss, dropping by 10%.
Sector-wise, five indices ended the day in negative territory. The "Investment Index" recorded the highest sectoral gain of 1.70%, while the "Finance Index" suffered the steepest decline, falling by 2.15%.
