June 20: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a decline of 10.44 points, or 0.50%, closing at 2068.31 on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
In today's trading session, 306 scrips were exchanged through 53,017 transactions on the NEPSE. A total of 8,663,699 shares were traded, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 3.87 billion.
Mountain Energy Nepal Limited (MEN) dominated the turnover, with transactions totaling Rs 170 million. Meanwhile, Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (KMCDB) posted the highest gain, rising by 7.71%. In contrast, Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited (KBSH) experienced the steepest decline, plummeting by 9.28%.
Analyzing sector indices, all except the Finance Index and Mutual Fund Index closed in the red. The Finance Index recorded the highest gain, up by 1.82%, while the Hotels and Tourism Index suffered the most significant loss, dropping by 0.92%.
