NEPSE Plunges 17.04 Points to Close at 2095.25

June 16: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) reported the loss of 17.04 points or 0.80% on Sunday, the first trading day of the week. The index closed at 2095.25, down 17.04 points or 0.80% from the previous trading day.

A total of 13,223,884 units of shares were traded on the NEPSE through 71,997 transactions. The total turnover for the day was Rs 5.47 billion.

Nepal Finance Limited (NFS) was the top traded company with a turnover of Rs 30 crore. NFS also saw the highest gain of the day, rising 10%. Manakamana Smart Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MKLB) was the second-biggest gainer, its share price increasing by 9.09%.

Bhagawati Hydropower Development Company Limited (BGWT) was the biggest loser of the day, with its share price falling 10% to Rs 1017.

All sector indices except for the Hotels and Tourism Index closed in the red. The Development Bank Index saw the biggest decline, falling 1.20%. The Hotels and Tourism Index, on the other hand, rose 0.04%.
