June 4: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index witnessed a growth of 6.22 points, or 0.29%, closing at 2,085.30 on the third trading day of the week on Tuesday.
During today's trading session, 315 scrips were traded on the NEPSE through 53,999 transactions. A total of 8,305,786 units of shares changed hands, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 4.8 billion.
CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) led the turnover amount with a total transaction of Rs 20 crore. Global IME Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GILB) gained 10% and hit the positive circuit for the day. Conversely, Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited (BNHC) faced the maximum loss of 5.51%, closing at a market price of Rs 635 per share.
In terms of sector indices, all sectors closed in green territory except for the Hydropower Index, Mutual Fund Index, and Others Index. The Trading Index gained the most at 2.70%, while the Hydropower Index incurred the biggest loss of 0.61%.
