KATHMANDU: The license of casino operators will be automatically revoked if they do not submit their renewal application by mid-June.     
Spokesperson and Director of the Department of Tourism, Kali Bahadur Bhujel, said the application for the renewal should be submitted one month before their expiry date.

“If the application for renewal of license is not submitted by mid-June, it will be automatically cancelled,” said Bhujel.    
Only a few applications have been received so far for the renewal of the license of casinos. According to him, the government has issued licenses for 28 casinos to operate across the country.    
The casinos have to submit the renewal fees along with the documents mentioned as per rule 13 (1) of the Casino Regulations, 2070 in addition to any dues for the renewal of license. -- RSS
