KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the prices of petrol, diesel, and kerosene.

A meeting of the Board of Directors of NOC on Friday decided to slash the price of petrol by Rs 3 per liter, and the prices of diesel and kerosene by Rs 1 per liter, effective from Saturday.

This price adjustment comes in response to the list of prices received by the NOC from Indian Oil Corporation, its sole supplier. The reduction also incorporates green tax of Re 1 per litre, which the government introduced in the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

As per the revised list received from IOC, the purchase price of petrol has decreased by Rs 4.42 per liter, while the price of diesel and kerosene has decreased by Rs 2.45 per liter.
